Tom Epperson took this photo of a young, then not so popular Jason Mraz for the cover of Pulp Magazine. Obviously the idea was to dress him up like AC/DC’s guitarist Angus Young.

I remember going to Vin Dancel’s house a few hours before this shoot to borrow his Gibson SG.

I don’t remember getting a stylist for this shoot, but we had the uniform and hat custom made for Jason. I helped him with his jacket, I fixed his tie, his knee high socks which I asked permission first since I was afraid that I might accidentally pull some of his leg hair (thank gawd that never happened!).

The shoot went smoothly, he was really nice, pleasant, a little sleepy but pretty enthusiastic and he even asked if he can take home the cap :) I didn’t see why not, so somewhere in his house or somebody’s house (or head) that J cap is there.
